Chad is the luckiest guy I know...

...and no, it isn't just because he's dating me.

We went to the Lightning's first home game tonight, and during the second period, this lady with a microphone came over to him and asked him if he wanted to participate in a contest. He reluctantly agreed, admitting later that he was afraid it was one of those contests where they make the contestants ride a bike across the ice with their shirt off.

It turns out he had to watch the screen at center ice where they turned over "cards" with images of players on them (for only like 1 second, too). Then, he had to identify which cards had Nikita Alexeev under them. Granted, Chad is somewhat of a sports nut, but Alexeev isn't like a player who everyone knows by name. Last year he played in Russia, and the year before that he played in the AHL. So, when Chad picked the right cards, I have to say, even I was impressed. He won a year's worth of Brighthouse Digital Phone service, too, which is actually an awesome prize compared to some of the other prizes that people win in these contests.

Anyway, I guess now I have to stop giving him a hard time about some of his sports lunacy...
